We told you so
Hi RK guys;
You are doing a great job there.
My man Capt Vincent - be a bit more careful: I do not want your head chopped off - u know those guys better than I do anyway. You really give us good stuff from the "source".
I have a few reminders to the groups crying foul of M7 and his killer gangs:
1. The press in Ug is writing a lot about Brig. Tumukunde: well, he deserves what he got from M7 - Tumukunde unleashed a lot worse on us during the 2001 elections, remember? What goes around really comes around. Same goes for Mukula and Muhwezi. Sit through the shit because you created it.
2. The PK guys in Kigali - crying foul of M7 (in period up to 2005): didn't we tell you to ditch the guy a long time a go and you refused? Instead you would sneak pple into Ntungamo to add onto his votes (1996 elections). You deserve what you got from him. That is life in the lens of your 'friend'. Of course you and I know that if it had not been for him, you guys would still be suffering here in Ug - being harassed by all sorts of political militia. By the way, the militia had every right to harass you coz you were involving yourselves in the politics of the host country (Ugandan), whereas you were refugees. Do not deny this fact - you got what you asked for. I am sure no refugee in Rwanda can oppose the RPF or side with RPF's opponents and live to see another day.
3. The Mengo guys: We pple from the West told you to ditch the M7 guy a long time a go and the only thing you would say was "kasita twebaka tullo". You have waken up too late, may be?? He will drink your blood, literally. And some of you go ahead and wonder why some pple from the west oppose M7 yet he is 'one of our own' - this is tribalism kabisa!!! Yucccck! We need a Ugandan not a westerner, Muganda, Northerner etc.
Some of us do not regret coz we knew all along - when some of you were busy wasting your time on "fundamental changes".

RK, be more professional
Thanks for the service you are rendering to coutrymen through your radio. If only you could broden and deepen you research on topics you ccver. You will also need to crosscheck information information that is sent in before it is published in order to enhance credibility of information. To be frank with you some of the information such as that from Capt Vincent is too good to be true. And what I have seen with your radio, you will soon beat Red Pepper! My prayer to those that risk to tell the population what hell is going on in institutions that are for the privileged few.

'once a thief always a thief', NRM can't recover from taking shortcuts
Ugandan Corruption-made Middle Class
Dear RK
All Ugandans know that the NRM leadership has been well aware of corruption in all Government departments but since their main aim from the word go, was to create a middle class and well knowing that few Ugandans have a culture of saving; the only option for the emergency of a middle class within the shortest possible time was to allow corruption to flourish. By doing this a few Ugandans who can access the government funds will automatically emerge as the middle class within that short time and these are the people who will make sure that the Government that has allowed them to acquire riches within a short period remains in power to protect their riches.
Now after more than 20 years, the Leadership thinks the middle class has already emerged and now they should control corruption. But as the saying goes, once a thief always a thief, the corrupt society is very difficult to change and it would take very radical measures to stop it which the government cannot afford since they are part of it.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Paul Kagame for East African president?
Will Rwanda be better off by leading the East Africa community or not?
Dear Radio Katwe editor,
I like to read regularly some of the news and comments written by some of your readers at this forum as some of them are well worded or somehow deeply assessed. I was impressed to hear some of the update about Rwandan s' progress brought by their actual president Paul Kagame". I would like to bring my contribution by examining together to whether Kagame is the right man the whole East African community would be proud of during the next term of presidency.
I might have read recently that Kagame, the actual Rwandan president will become the next East Africa community leader. Some of the guys of the Rwandans so excited to the level of thinking that it could become a new opportunity for Kagame and Rwanda to sell out their policies to the members of East Africa community.
They are however others who are still very reluctant wondering whether Kagame is the right man from whom someone can get a relevant lesson or not. Sometimes back one of the RadioKatwe's readers has evaluated some of the known deeds of Mr. Kagame and come up with a very relevant conclusion that he is not as clean as people present him. He said: "People tend to say Rwanda is developing fast. Wait a moment! What is development? Look around Kigali, yes, it is a very clean city. Right. But who does business in Kigali? The poor are not allowed to come to the city. Who then would make the city dirty? Every booming business is for Kagame. Yes, for Kagame. He has his people that do business for him. Take Musoni James - the minister of Finance and Economic development. RPF forces every worker in Rwanda to pay a certain percentage of his/her salary every month as contribution for the ruling party - umusanzu. All this money goes into Kagame's pockets. Then you say he is a good leader?!
In Rwanda, if you are to do business, you either do it with Kagame ( his boys and family) or you do it for them. Very soon I will give you details of his business in Kigali, the region, USA and Europe. The guy (Kagame) is simply not clean as you present him."
In such assessment, one may wonder whether Rwanda would be better off to have a man like Kagame in the leadership of East Africa community or not?

Time for strong opposition is NOW
Wakeup call to Ugandans.
Dear RK,
Thank you for providing this channel through which many peace loving Ugandans express their views on many different subjects. Like in any other community, there are some postings that lack credibility but all in all most of them have substance and we the readers are grateful.
In my view, all Ugandans opt to come together and find a solution to this phenomenon of criminal cliques posing as "Hima/Tutsi" trying to rule the whole region simply because they believe that they were created to rule and the rest of the people will be slaves under them.
For how long will Ugandans succumb to being ruled likethis? How come we Ugandans have failed to govern our own affairs? What makes us so weak that we allow this to happen to us as if we have no brains at all? What shall we tell our grand children when they put the question to us thus "Why did you allow foreigners to rule our own country?"
This is a wakeup call to all Ugandans to rise and do something about the situation, let us talk less and act instead. Let us form a credible opposition to the regime. An opposition not headed by headed by the likes of Besigye or Mugisha Muntu because these guys didn't do or say anything while they were still "eating". It was after they were no longer allowed to eat (nga babagobye ku lwaliiro) that they started mumbling about how undemocratic their NRM party was and so on and so forth.
Let us have some new leadership from among the many true Ugandans all over the world, create something of our own and save our Uganda.
God bless Uganda
A reader in the US.

Rwandans, avoid past mistakes, join Kagame. God will bless us!
It is unfortunate to read some of these articles on Rwanda and to know the thoughts that people habour. When people talk about a change in regime, why do they not focus on what they want to do differently that will benefit all Rwandans regardless of their ethnic background? Have not learnt enough from our tragic past? Would we wish for what happened in 1994 to happen to any other race, whether or not it is Rwandan?
No one has ever called Kagame God, that would be blasphemy at its highest, and he may have his weaknesses, but don't we all????? Those are for him to sort out with his God, just like we all will. We in Rwanda will continue to give him our unwavering support because we believe in his vision for our country which by the way is becoming the vision of many Rwandans, and we believe that as we join our efforts together, God will bless the work of our hands.
If some other people want to stand on the sidelines and plot evil plans, we believe God will frustrate their plans. We know and we are working at ensuring that Genocide will NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN in Rwanda, so plan all you want, but I hope you will not look back at your life with regret when your time on planet earth is up. I advise all evil plotters to instead direct their time and efforts at building beloved Rwanda and not tearing it apart!
JMVK.

Ugandans, NRM has lost it. Unite and vote wisely next time
Government in Self Sabotage: Arson
Since the NRM is loosing popularity and grip of power, they have resorted to hunting enemies of the government through the arson attacks. I do agree with you RK that NRM government is cracking faster than before. If NRM is strong, then why have many arsons, disappearances and killings of innocent people. The NRM is using theory of creating insecurity in return for support from the public since they hold instrumental power and forces to contain the situation. The theory does not work in a developing world where the reserves of the state are in hands of few individuals.
People should know that the recent fires are sign of state failure to provide security to its citizens. I also know that this mess can not be as a insurance scams for refunds as most school cannot afford to pay the insurance.
The crack in NRM is a chance for opposition to unify and send the NRM packing. We need change in policies from grassroots level that are binding for the people not from state house briefing. The people of Uganda, your only last option is to topple the government through vote of confidence for their failure. You have my vote and we need change in government.
My sympathy to those families and businessmen affected by arsons. I hope this time you regret why you voted the NRM and the no term limit. Don't worry more as next time you will vote wisely for better Uganda.

UNBS beware dangerous malaria drugs
Counterfeit malaria drugs threaten Africa with a lethal new problem.
Ateam of international researchers bought anti-malaria drugs from pharmacies in six cities in Africa's malaria belt, tested the products and despaired. More than a third of the alleged medicines flunked the field tests for clinical
efficacy.
And 48% of the drugs manufactured in Africa -- the best hope for affordable medicines for the poor -- failed the quality tests. The researchers couldn't determine whether the drugs were counterfeit, or old medicines that had been repackaged with new expiration dates, or legitimate pharmaceuticals that had lost some or all of their effectiveness through age orimproper storage. What is now clear, however, is that large numbers of African malaria patients are being victimized by the widespread distribution of bogus or substandard medications. Equally horrifying, the sale of these inappropriateor ineffective drugs is virtually guaranteed to increase the prevalence of drug-resistant malaria, which in turn will make it even harder for Africa to eliminate the scourge.

Anyone heard of MedNet Health Services Inc?
Dear RK,
Sometime ago, I requested for information regarding a Uganda-based company known as MedNet Health Services Inc or something of the description. I believe in accuracy and fairness just as you do and have always done and never ever want to injure anybody's repute knowingly or unknowingly. On the other hand I like to give due credit. Hence before I say anything I would like to know whether such a company really exists and who is behind it i.e proprietors and or shareholders and what the company really does.
Thank you RK for your Good work of spreading the truth
John WK
We have not heard anything, but ask readers who know something to please write and tell us. Thank you

An anti laundering bill at last
Parliament in Kampala is to debate a bill against money laundering. Something that Western countries have wanted Uganda to do for many years.
This future legislation against money laundering should harmonise Ugandan laws with those of other countries in East Africa. Its propositions include the creation of a financial intelligence unit to monitor the market for foreign exchange and the Kampala Stock Exchange. It would also provide a legal basis for the South African company Compuscan to set up a credit reference bureau. The American government, which is providing technical assistance to the Bank of Uganda (BOU), had already asked the Ugandan Central Bank to freeze the assets of organisations that are on Washington's list of terrorist groups. At the same time, the commercial banks were informed that they should block all deposits of sums over $100,000 on a single occasion.
In the United Kingdom, the police are taking a particular interest in the financial dealings of certain Ugandan VIPs who hold diplomatic passports that it suspects of laundering money from various trafficking activity. A number of them have already been condemned, such as Rose Rosalind Birungi, Minister of the Kingdom of Toro and assistant to General Salim Saleh (the brother of President Yoweri Museveni) who has been condemned to prison for 12 years for trafficking cocaine. For his part, Ananias Tumukunde, former science and technology advisor to the Ugandan President and the head of Nisa Investments, is held in prison in the United Kingdom while awaiting trial at the end of September. He is accused of laundering money ($200,000) pertaining to drug trafficking. His affair also implicates Lieutenant-Colonel Tagaswire Rusoke, a doctor specialising in toxicology, former assistant to the ex-Vice President of Uganda. The British intelligence black list also includes the name of Dennis Katungi, a member of the overseas branch of the National Resistance Movement (NRM, ruling party).

Engola, Sudhir, M7, MPs a day of reckoning is coming
DO YOU THINK THAT THEY ARE SLEEPING WITH ALL THAT WEALTH THEY HAVE STOLEN FROM THE PEOPLE OF UGANDA?
Believe you me their minds are not resting because of the money they have stolen from Ugandans. I am sure this is one of the reasons why M7 cannot leave power -FEAR!!!!! Definitely he will have to be nabbed and should vomit all the wealth he has grabbed from Ugandans. This Guy should be paradeded infront of Ugandans and he should tell the world where he has hidden all the money he has stolen from Uganda. The likes of Sudir should also start parking, Ugandans are bitter. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
No stone will be left unturned on these people who have bought schools for our children with the M7 family. There is a saying that "even if you play sexy games with your mother in law under water, it will always come out on the surface". All these crimes the M7s have committed are still hidden because he is still the boss. But let that GUN drop you will see... Of course he is aware of his fate that is why he cannot give up the presidency.
There are those who lick his boots like Sam Engola. Engola has just bought land in Lango- Loro. This is a trick he has always played with M7 to fool the Northerners. He nearly got killed when M7 sent him to get Diamond and Gold in Congo. I wish they had gotten him there and finished him. This is one of the few Lango man who can even eat M7's *** if he were to be given!!! They are all thinking of their ONLY stormachs, What about the ordinary Ugandans??
The MPs of Uganda are also useless. They are all protecting their income and nothing else. I know you have to eat and look after your families, that is okay and we understand, but what about children, women and men who are sleeping rough without food and income? Year in year out they're MPs eating and not putting fire on Museveni. Look at Odinga, he put fire on Kibaki until he gave in. MPs of Uganda stop eating and save your coutry for goodness sake.
Freedom fighter from within.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Lets all come together and throw M7 out!
UGANDANS WAKE UP AND SAVE YOUR COUUNTRY FROM BEING RUN DOWN!!
This is a man who killed your relatives in Luwero and even some of his men and then hid their bodies systematically during the war and when he came to power, he knew where they were and he again went and unearthed the skulls systematically and lined them along Bombo road to win internation support. Of course he won international support at that time because the world did not know who the hell M7 is.
A bloody killer who roasted young boys alive in a wagon in Mukura Teso.
A bloody killer who has been killing people in the North and claiming that it is Kony.
Evidence has now surfaced in Southern Sudan with his blood hungry men leaving trail of their identities along their routes of lootings and killings. This is abomination in the eyes of all mankind.
M7 should not be given a chance to leave Uganda. He should account for the mass murders he committed since he launched his bush war. Do Ugandans remember the families he murdered in Namalere (Agricultural Station)? I am sure some of you may have had relatives who were butchered by M7 there.
M7 is a brute, a killer, a liar, a thief and is dividing our couuntry into tribal sectors. If only words were to kill M7, I do not think he will be there now. M7 has prepared soldiers from the west to defend him if he looses election. This is another Mugabe in Uganda. He is now scheming on his next vote BUT UGANDANS, WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP, IF WE ARE TO GO DEMOCARTICALLY , DO NOT GIVE YOUR VOTES TO THIS MURDERER.
I knwo Ugandans are tired of war but there will come a time when arms will be taken to tackle this dictator who wants to finish our country. NO SCHOOLS, NO ROADS, NO HOSPITALS, NO EDUCATION, NO JOBS AND FINALLY NO FOOD AND SHELTER FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT HIS TRIBE. FOR HOW MANY MORE YEARS ARE WE GOING TO GO ON LIKE THIS? Ask yourselves questions. For those in the diaspora, you have relatives at home and I am sure the money you earn from the diaspora is the one feeding your relatives. How long are you prepared to feed them before you feed your family and also retire peacefully and enjoy your retirement?
FIRE SHOULD BE PUT FROM ALL DIRECTIONS AND FROM ALL PARTIES TO TAKE OUT THIS MURDERER. UGANDANS, UGANDANS, UGANDANS EVEN IF IT MEANS ALL PARTIES COMING TOGETHER TO GET THIS MURDERER OUT, PLEASE LETS DO IT AND THEN SORT OUT OUR DIFFERENCES LATER. THE SOONER HE LEAVES THE BETTER FOR OUR OFFSPRINGS AND ALL UGANDANS TO ENJOY THEIR COUNTRY.
LONG LIVE RADIO KATWE.I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOUR EFFORTS TO REMOVE THIS MURDERER. YOU NEVER KNOW, STEP BY STEP WE WILL SUCCEED!!!!!!!! THANK TO ALL OF YOU AT RADIO KATWE DO NOT GIVE UP THE ALMIGHTY IS LISTENING. WHEN YOU KNOCK THE DOOR WILL BE OPENED!!!! God bless you all and continue to look after you. Amen

What is it with African leaders?
Why do African Presidents behave the way they behave?
Unless the Western governments fully understand the African presidents, they may never know how to help them.
The difference between an African president and a European or American president is fundamentally the difference between their two levels of social development.
The degree of social development is measured by how far a person or an individual can restrain his/her animal instinct for the sake of the community in which he or she lives.
Naturally all animal including man are selfish.
Your level of social development depends on how far you have gone in taming or overcoming this selfishnes for the better of the community in which you live.

Seeking new name for First Son
Editor,
I want to extend my thanks to you and our dedicated officers of UPDF and PGB who continue to update us about the goings-on in Museveni's thieving family a.k.a. the first family. You referred to Muhozi using such epithets as "Dear Leader," "First Son" or "Dear Son". Given his level of daftness, I was wondering whether anyone would complain if we called him the First Fool?
Dear reader, thank you for writing. For sure if it was a matter of choice, no one would choose to be daft. But as parents you know that some of our children are just born that way and cannot cope up with the expectations in academic life.
Now this young man in a way he is also a victim of his fathers sefishness, blind ambition and greed.

RK, seek peace, join the system (Movement?)
Hi RK gyz,
Thank you for not publishing every article I send you! I am a regular reader of this site - but I want to ask you why you never publish anything good about M7 and PK? Is that what opposition means? Haven't these guys done anything good to their citizens? And why are you always prophesying doom all the time? Did you know that before the big fish are caught in the net, the small ones will have been finished.
There is this old adage which goes thus: "if you can't fight a system, just join it"! Maybe, that way you will have peace. Seek peace and war.
My own judgment is many RK contributors are a bunch of disgruntled people who can never see anything objectively looking at the way you analyze issues.
Dear reader, actually there is 'good news' out there if you know where to find it, and you don't have to look far.

6 hrs later: Response to 'Hi RK gyz'
Response to RK gyz
RK gyz is complaining that the opposition sees nothing positive in M7.
Why should it be the opposition to give in to the African dictators?
It happened in Kenya, it is happening now in Zimbabwe. The sitting president loses
an election there after he dictates how to share power. A thief loots your property, and after catching
him he dictates the term of how to share the loot! What type of logic is this?
M7 runs around blaming others for his failures and ridicules the opposition all the
time. The opposition has for long invited him for constructive dialog but he
is only ready to talk with the likes of Kony. Therefore what is really good about him?
Without the gun he would not be ruling Uganda that long. M7 called past
presidents "swine" and all other dirty names. Therefore if swines and fools
could rule Uganda what about a moron like him? According to him any ape
can rule Uganda so long as he has the gun and control over the Army. There
are several ways of doing this. Either the communistic way or the M7 (corrupt) way.
In case you are talking about the economy, you need to visit the archives
and you will find out that Uganda's 1972 economic prosperity surpassses in all
aspects what you have today.

Who is this Kato Muhamad harassing wananchi?
Dear radiokatwe could someone shed light one of the bigest long time conman called KATO MUHAMAD from mbarara? He is well connected to all security organs in the country even state house. he claims to be an army officer or inteligencey oficer. so many people have sufered at his hands after stealing or fraud he make sure you are behind bars or sometimes luzira. then you have to beg him save you from all he has put you through and that marks the end of any hope of seeking justice from any where as he will put you in prison. he used to have an office on William street in the shop colled Supergloble. at the moment he is bulding a big mansion on gayaza road.

New breed of "balaalo" roots revealed
Dear Editor,
I have been wondering who was encouraging foreigners from Burundi and Rwanda to come to Uganda and take over our motherland. After carefully listening to M7's population day speech in which he advocates for overpopulation the answer to my question was answered.
Therefore with that background information i appeal to all Ugandans to open your eyes and brains to understand why currently there are numerous cattle keepers ("balaalo") moving all over the country. These guys were expelled from Tanzania and instead of going back to their country M7 allowed them to come to Uganda and gave them permission and guns to settle any where they want by consnt or force. Thats why you see them being ferried at night to various parts of the country. The man gave them guns such that they can rear their animals in peoples gardens with no fear. The MPs, RDCs, District chairmen have kept quiet and no one dare asks where these people came from and they are!
We think this guy wants to create another Darfur in Uganda where pastrolists and cultivators will start fighting for land.
We know his strategy is to increase his voting base which he can achieve by rigging the elections, but the fact that he going as far as ferrying foreigners to the country is cause for worry.
You MPs you thought M7 is "God", that the country can't survive minus him. You removed term limits and you effectively burried our Uganda. May the suffering of our people be counted on you, your children and grand children.
Amen

Request for Info
Dear RK,
We appreciate the immense service you are rendering to Motherland Uganda.
I would like any reader who has information onthe following issues to please post us information on the following:
1-Our Gold mines in Karamoja and whats happening to the Gold? Where is Lind Chalker, the former British foreign secretary in for African affairs?
2-There was a vocal, politician from I think West Nile in the Constitutional Assembly, I think his name was Zubairi. A thread was written about him that he died,(not on RK). Any information about the cause of his death. With the poisoning killing mode of the NRA, couldn't he have been a victim as well?
We Ugandans salute the brave job of informing the world about lots of evil governing our beloved Pearl of Africa.
Keep up the spirit as you watch out for state coercion!!
"A government is a group of legally composed thieves"
You efforts are not in vain, surely the data you provide is usual resource for reference now, tomorrow and the future.
