Files may grow legs but we know the truth
Today's (28 October 2008) Daily Monitor reported that the Alcon File (which has the list of Alcon Directors) disappeared from the Registrar's Office. Alcon file disappears from registrarfs office
The file can disappear all the way to Timbuktu but we know that one of the Directors is Sam Kuteesa. We know that he and his fellow directors want NSSF and Alcon to settle out of court so that they reap big. All the billions will go to them and leave us poor workers whose money is taxed twice (at the time of earnign - PAYE and at the time of getting the savings from NSSF - something I don't know what Tax) suffering.
God save Uganda

What's Obama got to do with it?
Dear RK, is Mr Kabushenga is an Idiot?
I am disgusted about the Media Boss Kabushenga who has allowed today's New Vision Headline "Uganda on Top of Obama's Agenda" to be published. This shows how hollow the Uganda Government is.
How can Obama who has a plate full of American problems to solve think about Kony in Nothern Uganda as his priority?
This is a big shame when we fail to solve our own problems because of greed and corruption and we hope everything will be handled by Ameriaca. Shame on you the New Vision Management, Shame on you Kabushenga and shame on the whole of Uganda Managers (Note: Uganda has no leaders).
TBR, Masaka.

The national budget has become 1st family budget
RE: Museveni closes in on Nakasero land
Dear Capt. Vincent/RK:
Is it really true that 30% of the National Budget is spent on President M7 & The 1st Family?
This is a shocking revelation. It would be good to have some idea of how much of Uganda's Annual Budget is wasted on the 1st Family.
Does anyone have any idea?
Sincerely,
Outraged & Thoroughly Fed-Up Ugandan

Presidential advisors: shame on you Prince Ssimbwa
Dear Radio Katwe,
I just want to comment on the "List of Presidential Advisers". I cannot understand why Prince David Ssibwa is a Presidential Adviser to M7. You have to realise it that any member of the Royal Family is not allowed to participate in the affairs of the Central Government let alone take any post. I am a very close friend to one of KABAKA'S relatives and they indicated to me that Prince David Ssimbwa hates the Kabaka so much and that he has never supported him in anyway. He is always on the opposition side. Ssimbwa is Kabaka's younng father, since Mutesa died and he is the only surviving son of Kabaka Chwa, you are supposed to be any example to the Royal Family. Instead, he is the State House with M7, spying on Kabaka. Shame on you Prince Ssimbwa, no wonder you hate our Kabaka so much. Now we know the truth.

Northern Ugandan, watchout for Museveni's Trojan horses
To the Readers of RK and the Editors,
It is always so painful to read about people taking advantage of the situation in Northern Uganda. I am referring to the article on the Sunday Vision of 26th, Oct.2008 by a Mr Chris Ochuwon. Acholi leaders want peace
The woman named in that article; Elizabeth Alimadi Ocitti, is not to be trusted. This woman attended Sacred Heart Girls' Secondary School from 1968-1971. This woman was known as Betty Achola Ayoo. She was born to the late Alimadi by another woman who was married to a Lango man by the name Ayoo. She changed her name after finding out that her real father was an Ambassador to the USA and abandoning the name of the man who raised her. At Sacred Heart, she had quite a reputation for taking things which did not belong to her, what is the term for that?
In other words, she always yearned for things above her means. She somehow always got them and as always, she was a problem to all the girls as they had to hide their stuff.
Now this is the same way she is dealing with the Acholis and
their land. She is now in cohoots with M7. Trust me, Mr. Alimadi's children who grew up with the old man in his home know what Mzee would have wanted for the Acholis. Betty Achola Ocitti is not to be trusted by the Acholis, she has been bought by Museveni.
The presidents private secretary Amelia Kyambadde was in the same school with us, she must have recommended Betty Achola Ayoo to her boss as an easy one who would steal from her people and who is always hungry for big things. Acholis must not allow Betty Achola to use Mr. Alimadi's name to steal from them. Mr. Otema Alimadi was highly respected by his people and his character must not be tainted.
Betty Ayoo Achola please don't taint the name of Mr. Otema Alimadi (r.i.p), keep this name out of your dirty deals with Museveni and his family. May be soon we'll see
ELIZABETH ALIMADI MUSEVENI OCITTI!!

ARMY PROMOTIONS & MUSEVENI'S TRIBAL DISCRIMINATION.
Museveni promotes 415 UPDF officers
Radio Katwe,
the latest news on army promotions has it that 51 women have been promoted. Gen. I. Koreta is also quoted as having remarked that even a woman should be a General.
The question is why has it taken so long to promote veteran fighters such as Col. Pros Nalweyiso? Is it because she is not a Munyankole? This woman did a lot of risky operations in the bush. She led women, carriade massages, walked behind enemy lines, and was in constant contact with the civilian population that NRA needed for food, recruitiment and other logistics.
Oliver Zizinga are still Captains! Where would Museveni be without these two women in the bush? Both are retired. But why was Otafiire promoted to a Gen. when he was already retired? Why is it that these two very brave women are not recognized whenever NRA/NRM cerebrates its heroes?
Andrew Lutaaya saved Musevenis life many times. This man, together with the late Lt. Col. Sserwanga Lwanga, would have sold Musevenis head to Obote if they wanted to. It was these men that planned Musevenis escape from Luwero to Sweden. They hid him in Mukono and protected him when he was in Nairobi. It was the Baganda in Nairobi who helped Museveni while he was in Kenya, and they are the ones who forged his passport. They looked after all the NRA team and made sure that the team returns to Luweero in peace. In his book, Museveni admits that it was Andrew Lutaaya who navigated his routes as he travelled from the bush to other countries. Why is Andrew Lutaaya not a General? Is it because he is not a Munyankole?
There are a few Generals that belonged to UNLA before 1986. They never fought to remove Obote or Okello. On the other side, there are well-trained men who fought for Ugandas freedom. They are over-looked. Col. Gyagenda Kalyesubula is not only a trained pirot, he was in the bush from 1981 up to the end. This man, together with the late Lt. Col. Joseph Sebaggala, led a big group of fedemu fighters that joined NRA before the fall of Kampala. They were active on the front line. Why is he not a General?
Then there is Brig. James Ssebaggala. This man has been with NRA through thick and thin. He was one of the few who drew the final plans to assault Kampala in 1986. This meeting took place in Masaka. He is not only a well- trained officer, he is a gentleman and well respected. Why is he not a General?
Why is Wasswa Tulikayege not a General?
One reason is that Museveni only promototes his tribesmen. He dislikes Baganda and does not like to see Catholics as Generals.
Radio Katwe, if you think that I am wrong publish the list of Musevenis Generals, their tribes, their background and religion. You will see what I mean.

M7's open secret for the fertile land in the north
About two years ago Augustine Ruzindana let out the secret:
Sometime after the 2001 stolen presidential elections a move to finally put to fruition a planned takeover of the Acholi land was mooted.
A paper prepared by "cabinet" on how to manage the IDPs in Acholi, Lango and Teso was proclaimed ready. Of course such a cabinet paper was a brainchild of the "visionary" leader.
The Plan: Turn all IDPs into "urban" centres (read permanent squalid concentration camps). The land would then be freed for investment.
The planned debate of the proposal in parliament and hopefully its passing by the Museveni controlled bootlicking parliament, however backfired.
Museveni was facing a key fallout in Parliament following his change-the-constitution moves to allow him an imperial life-presidency. As we all know, the Parliamentary Advocacy Forum emerged with Ruzindana being its leader. As a result this paper was finally thrown out.
Oh yes! IDPs as urban centres!
Let's jerk our memories to action - this is about the same time the moves on fuel were solidifying. It is also the very time that mapping of oil blocks that extend to Acholi and possibly into Lango and Teso was also being concluded.
So was a sinister move, a trick to steal land?
Ruzindana in his confession claims they had an inside information that Museveni was planning to take away the northern lands, turn them into farms and use the poor "prisoners" as a labour reservoir whose lives would permanently depend on the handouts by the owner(s) of the farms - the landlord(s) (read Museveni). I hope we all remember Museveni calling Ugandans (northerners and easterners) biological substances that can be gotten rid of.
So with divisions in Parliament and inside his NRM, this project failed and kind of put back mission the northern-and-eastern-lands into a temporary halt.
My recent research however reveals that although Ruzindana's secret was true, the idea of taking northern and eastern lands was not for Agriculture - that land has been eyed for a long time now and agent Museveni is under extreme pressure to deliver it
Let's have a serious look at the desperation to end the northern war. Is it for the good of the people there or is it to get rid of Kony the impendiment.
A white priest once told me: "Kony could present difficulties against any investments in northern Uganda akin to that of the rebels in Nigeria's Niger Delta".
And there you are brothers and sisters.
Etome
