Dear RK,
Thank you for this platform.
It is very interesting that our dishonest Members of parliament are crying foul about Kayihurasiosis. I am happy they have started to test his tyranny. These are the very people who approved him to lead police. They have kept a deaf ear when the public has been suffering at the hands of the same "learned friend". I served in the army until I had to abandon it because of Kayihura. I am now a liberated person. If the army was to vote the worst officer, he would not miss a gold medal. This is a person with no leadership skills at all. At worst he cannot even lead a platoon. His biggest weakness is malice, self conceit, intrigue, tribalism and grabiosis. He can kill for a penny.
Recently, some friend of mine said that Kayihura's mission in police is to turn the tables upside down so that the public resents police. He says many times he has seen UPDF soldiers clad in police uniforms. Ugandans it is a 'mission accomplished'. Remember among the plans of his master was to do away with police, had it not been the insistence of the donors.
We need to blame police for the atrocities being committed, even though the poor fellows are still sleeping in former toilets and mortuaries. We should not stand quietly forever against this violence. Ugandans, the colonialists who differentiated the roles of police and army were not fools. The two institutions differ, it is time to tell the army to pack up and leave police work to professional officers. And who is to start this? The simple answer is the MPs. Surely, if we do not save this country in time, rest assured our children will pay for our sins, including the 'mighty' Kayihura's children.
Having served in the army, it is no secret that our army is the pillar of all corruption scandals. It is common knowledge that UPDF Generals are stinking rich, billionaires from corruption. We all know of the famous scandals - junk choppers, tanks, trucks, under sized uniforms, ghost soldiers, UCB deal, D.R Congo looting, cattle thefts in Teso and Karamoja, drug trafficking, arms trafficking etc. I was surprised when an armed robber was in Gulu said that "if I do not root out the police thieves, I will resign". What a shame. Why does he not first resign from the more rotten UPDF? Where did he declare all the bribes from Busitema SRPS road block and from other smugglers? Ugandans, I stand to be proved wrong of any former civilian Inspector General who amassed as much wealth as these "patriotic cadres".
It is evident that our government has succeeded in militarizing police. What need to know is that what ever had a beginning has an end. This explains why there are more Special Police Constables (SPC) and State House cadres being recruited for 2011. You are yet to taste more of the Black Mambas, tear gas and Kiboko Squad action etc.
To the sleeping MPs, ask the Ntungamo People about Kayihura before you continue "sleeping".
To the "mighty" Kayihura, thank you for murdering police. One simple question to you, Where is Sadam? Mobutu? Or ask Rwakasisi. Before you think of your loot, do you recall what he (Chris) did in the same Ntungamo? The problem is that some people can never learn from history.
