Why Muhoozi went back to America, and advice for our young officers

Captain Vincent
(President's Office & State House Entebbe)

Dear Fellow Ugandans, PGB Officers and Men, and readers of Radio Katwe from all over the world,

As always we salute you and thank you for your patience during those times when we are not so regular in our updates from State House.

This time around we have been tied up with the visit of His Majesty King Mswati of Swaziland who was visiting for 4 days last week.

As is obvious, the first priority is do our official duties before we get time to write to and update you, which we now consider our second most important duty. Otherwise it would surely be hypocritical for us to codemn our "God sent Revolutionary" Yoweri T. "Kaguta" Museveni for doing his own things and pursuing selfish ends instead of serving the people whose votes he claims (you can read whose votes he stole), and then do the same thing of failing to act in the interest of our country, even if our own lives are on the line.

However, today I wish to direct this message specifically to my fellow PGB Officers and men, and if I have time before "Mzee's eyes" catch up with me, I will also briefly address what is going on in "our Party", (read M.V Titanic of Uganda, also known as NRM the sinking ship), whose captain the "experienced and tested" Yoweri is either asleep at the wheel, or drunk and incapacitated. For he seems to have no clue which direction the ship is sailing, though we should not be quick to discount the possibility that he may as always be pretending and deliberately sailing the ship into rocks, with an eye on the insurance money. You can never underestimate what Yoweri is capable of.

Last wednesday one of our good officers Yasiin Kironde was murdered in cold blood by our own government, his alleged crime being leaking secrets to Radio Katwe and the Red Pepper, and also gossiping about the "great First Family", especially on matters to do with the blessed First Son (now also called Dear Leader) as I will detail below.

But first a few words to my fellow Officers and men, more so the young generation which is increasing in number and taking on bigger roles in the command structure, allow me to address you frankly and openly both as a senior officer and as an elder.

We have been in your boots before. We were at one time eager, ambitious and fiercely loyal but unfortunately, also too naive to realize that we were being used. By the time we came to understand that we were the foot soldiers of a system we served the interests of a few at the expense of the many, namely our country, it was too late. I must warn you that you will be used and when no longer needed, unceremoniously dumped. That is the stark, reality.

As people who have been around long enough to see things from a certain perspective, we have seen what we are telling you happen again and again and without doubt, as as soon as the so-called revolutionary or his boy feel they no longer need you, you will become totally worthless. Your loyalty and selfless service to them will be as useful as the dust on their boots.

I for one used to speak to the late Mayombo about similar concerns but in his heyday, he used to think I had fitina, that we older officers envied him. I do not blame him because it can be hard to think clearly in certain situations. Before he 'woke up', that young man was truly devoted to the "visionary" leader. But some of us grey heads consistently advised him not to get excited being around Yoweri. He had a job to do but there was no point in losing his head and getting carried away with the trapings of power. Being in the inner most of the inner circle, frequently accompanying Museveni on foreign trips in the exclusive and intimate setting of the presidential jet as others destined to the same place as security and so on take cheap economy seats on a commercial flight, is no guarantee that you have arrived and are now untouchable.

Young men, you are now adults, sit down and think as mature men. Consider what has happened to the families of the likes of the late Brig. Mayombo, late Captain Daudi Wako, late Captain Bivete Nyahahima, late Lt Col. Akanga who used to protect this so called "Freedom Fighter" during the bush war, whenever he pretended to be checking on his troop before taking off in the tall grass for his safe haven in Sweden.

See what he is doing as we speak to Officers like Brig. Muhizi who was until recently the COS for the land forces and has now been dumped or "exiled" if you prefer, in India, as if we buy any arms from India, (in which case as is it is in all arms deals, Brig. Muhizi's job would have been to enable the "freedom fighter" to earn a commission). Neither does India offer us much in terms of military training or support. To get another more historical perspective, see what is happening to those of us who actually fought while he was sleeping and eating bacon and now claims he "hunted the animal".

Fellow Officers and men in the PGB in particular and UPDF, CMI, ISO, ESO, JATT, PIN in general, let us not get excited over Yoweri and his son.

Our marching orders and oath of office/service we took do not have the names of any specific person in them. We swore to serve our country Uganda, not individuals, more so not this bunch of cowards and highway robbers parading around as "freedom fighters". Our calling and profession is to serve a higher purpose, a set of laws and principles called the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. We dedicated our lives to something bigger, more splendid and fulfilling, to build and defend institutions and systems of fair governance for ourselves and our children in generations to come. Not mere men who will be here today, gone tomorrow. What is saddening is that you all know that the rot in our UPDF and all other institutions is brought about by the same people we now claim to be protecting and serving.

We, members of the security establishment have slowly but surely come to be seen as the enemy, as being against our fellow country men and women most of them our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers. Lets wake up, this one family and a few cronies we are sacrificing the whole country for will not be around in 10 years time at most. So by turning into tools of oppression, we are being shortsighted, creating pointless enemity with our own people and community who will stay around for ever.

We hope your continued reading of Radiokatwe will help you to eventually see the light since when ever we speak in the "correct forum", we are arrested and charged with treason. But here we can talk to each other freely and express our true feelings.

Back to the tragic and sad murder of our officer Yasiin Kironde: the gossip about the "Dear Son" Muhoozi allegedly spread by Kironde was not just a fake rumour going around in the army as many of you may have thought, it is true. He failed his exams at Ft. Leavenworth and has gone back to do supplementaries or retakes. Otherwise he will not be eligible to receive a Certificate of merit for his accomplishments there, but may instead be offered a simple certificate of attendance, just to show that he once attended that great institution.

According to intelligence reports which we have gathered, Muhoozi did not perform well enough to satisfy the requirements at Fort Leavenworth. On learning of this, the "Great Revolutionary" got very agitated and lobbied his Israeli friends to use their influence and get him a private meeting with US president George Bush (Bush also went to Jerusalem, but no mention about the meeting was made during his last visit to Israel for their independence day celebrations). He also sought help from the British when he visited London prior to his son's graduation.

Museveni earnestly begged and lobbied his friends in high places to do all they can to make sure his dud son was allowed to graduate officially, and promised that he would send him back to re-sit his papers and that should fail again, he would then graciously accept just the Certificate of Attendance. But please please, let him participate fully in the official gradution ceremony.

Ugandans should note that to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time an African Officer has failed to achieve even the pass mark.

Muhoozi took the initiative and contacted his father to tell him of his predicament, and asked to be bailed out as a favour. He knew and feared that the other African students from Kenya and Rwanda etc would come back and not fail to talk about this new unique African record that Muhoozi had set.

So, whereas the Ugandan media was busy feeding us the innocent looking story of Yoweri going on a state visit to Israel and Britain, little did they know the man's other secret mission of saving his families face and honor, should the son fail to appear among the graduands. Muhoozi's "mother", mama Janet tagged along to make sure no effort was spared.

So, this silly story now circulating in the army that Muhoozi has now gone back to the US to to do an Air Force course is just propaganda planted by Museveni and his agents.

Under the kind of arrangements and programs the West offers to Africa, it is simply not possible for an individual to train as an Army officer, jump to the Air Force, then end up in the Navy or Marines. Common sense should tell you it can never happen. May be here in Uganda where opportunism, greed and incompetence are the deciding factors, but not in these countries with rich traditions, where a person commits themselves to a career in one of the services and often stays there for life.

Also after these programs, they always insist that you get a full rest in your home country, not just get up and go back after a couple of weeks. So what the late Yasiin Kironde was saying about the "Dear Son" Muhoozi failing to pass is just fact. But yet another innocent person has been murdered for daring to voice the plain truth! Look how truly cheap and expendable we are! An officer is murdred in a bid to protect the open secret that Muhoozi is as bright as a lump of clay!

Kironde, may his soul rest in peace.

From what we have gathered, "The Dear Son" performed as below:

1. Subject passed with with a pass grade (low marks)

  • Grammar
  • Language Training
  • Budget and Financial Training
  • History and Revolutionary Ideals
  • Individual Staff Studies Course (ISSC)
  • Intermediate Command & Staff Course (land ICSC)
  • Junior Officer Development Programme (JODP)
  • Junior Officers Command Course (JOCC)

2. Subjects below the pass grade (i.e total failure):

  • Command and Leadership skills
  • Individual Skills
  • Civilian and Military Mobilization Plans
  • Collective Training
  • Personnel management
  • MOS Training (this is based on your background, aptitude and desires)
  • Special Operations Preparation Course (SOPC)
  • Special Forces assessment and selection (SFAS)
  • Special Forces Qualification Source (SFQC)
  • The survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Course(SERE )

So fellow PGB, UPDF Officers and men, to repeat, the "Dear Son" has not gone for an Air force course. It is absurd to even entertain that though because you yourselves know that unlike say during Amin's regime, Uganda does not have a viable air force to talk of, unless you count the make believe "ghost airforce". Neither do we have or operate American aircraft which would necessitate training in America, with the exception of the presidential jet manufactured by Gulfstream, a division of General Dynamics.

If he was indeed training to fly, it would make more sense if he went to Russian, since we have a couple or so of aged Mig fighters giving uninformed observers the illusion of an Airforce. And if this was the case, then it would perhaps be a blessing in disguise because for sure, it would take Muhoozi so long to learn how to fly even a single engined Piper that by the time he came back he would be an old man just ready to retire to his fathers cows instead of causing us problems that he also wants to rule Uganda.

As it is now, the only thing one can do, if you are so inclined, is to wish him good luck with the books this time, as failing a second time will cause acute embarassment and anguish for his parents. Those of you wwho have children know what I'm talking about, the joy that comes when your child passes a difficult exam.

As promised, a brief word about these so-called "rebel NRM boys" - J. Muhwezi, M. Mukula , H. Tumukundes and others who we know are there but hesitating, you know yourselves. My own brief assesment which I can give you now is - know that when confronted, Yoweri is a coward and a greedy Hyena at best.

The essence of what these people are telling the world and Ugandans in particular is this, that we have a paper tiger claiming to be a freedom fighter and miliatry General, thre is nothing he will do to us since we used to steal together, and for him. I will elaborate next time, time permitting.

Dear RadioKatwe,

You have made us laugh this afternoon here in Bombo. I used to work for the Directorate of Personnel and Training and I still have my connections in that Department.

But I can tell fellow Ugandans that Major Muhoozi Keinerugaba (what ever his name means) has only a number RO 8643 and an empty file as per his records in UPDF.

We do not have any details on this young man, even the simplest of details like when he was born and where, who his parents are etc. His village was at one time specified as Nakesero, his education back ground is missing and his medical check up records have never been submitted.

No one in UPDF can think of asking for his papers because the CIC will immediately inquire why you want to know and you may end up in "mabusu"

We do not even have records for the CIC RO OO1 himself, nor those of his brother General Saleh. Yet they claim they are the "founders" of NRA/UPDF and one would have expected them to be proud that future historians of this great army would read about these wonderful brothers and their sons.

We are also fully aware that this young man always attends individual training and has never gone for training as part of a group of Ugandans and one of the reasons being that his father fears to expose his short comings.

We would not be surprised if he did not pass his papers because we do gather he also hides away from his Old Boys from Kisubi and Budo and when you hear his arguments after only 10 minutes of talking, you do not wish to associate with him with the exception that he may get you a good job in the army to make a few bucks otherwise, he is just a simple minded fellow.

Lt. M.

Dear Lt. M, thank you for that hot tip. So technically, the Three Musketeers may not be members of the UPDF, and could be found to be impostors, irregularly and illegally enjoying the honors, benefits and powers of the offices they hold. Lawyers, are you taking notes?

To Captain Vincent and RK Readers,
Thank you very much, the paragraph about the "rebel NRM boys" is really humurous.

Your advice to the young boys protecting The Kaguta family is very good and I really hope that they'll all read it and take it into hearts. Mr. Tumukunde is now weeping over his mother's grave for not listening to her when she advice him not to go to the bush or not to join politics. So for these officers, they should hear it from the horse's mouth........facts and truths.

Thank you, thank you!!!

Dear RadioKatwe,

Thanx so much for this sweet article.

I rang my brother on Friday who told me he could not give me pocket money because he was going for burial of his friend who had been killed by his own PGB workmates.

On Friday when I called him, he was so low and told me his job was not the best and regrets why he ever joined the army.

When we met today at home, I asked him about this story of Muhoozi which I had just read before I rushed home for a late lunch and he told me it is true but since he had not read it, he could not comment much.

When I told him about Museveni travelling to Israel to plead for his son, he mentioned that was possible because prior to M7 going to Israel, he was meeting at odd hours in the night with one Israeli, he called him Col. Kolan almost on a daily basis and their thinking was that since this Col. Kolan is in effect in charge of PGB security and Intelligence, may be he was updating Mzee on a serious issue.

He has promised to tell me more details and I can share it with radiokatwe as long as I never ever mention his name neither the family name. It is a crime to be found reading radiokatwe with the exception of the intelligence units who are looking for the writers and owners

However, he told me something new that this Col. Kolan was the effective boss of PGB and has over 5 to 8 Israeli commandos in charge of PCB command and control in the background not these so called Commanders of PGB you hear about.

R.K,

The name of the Israel Officer is Col Goran. He has been dealing in arms through State House and his office is just adjascent to Uganda Management Institute (Jinja road).

concerned citizen

Thank you fellow citizen. The correct spelling is Golan (as in Golan Heights, the disputed territory between Syria and Israel) and yes, Mr Amos Golan is a retired IDF colonel. His company called Tadirani has a long and "colorful" if dark history with arms supply to the UPDF (or more properly, to Museveni because most times these matters are entirely private).

5.

Dear Radiokatwe,

You people have interesting stories though Ugandans should know that these issues are serious and should not be treated as mere jokes.

If you are going to have a young man who is not good in his brains at this age leading a country and all he has is a history of failures from one school to another, then we have a major problem as a country.

How on earth does one explain a young boy who has been given every thing and his future is ready made (though through theft) fail to read and pass.

Ugandans, if that is the case, one wonders what it would be like if this boy had no money to pay his fees or buy food like most Ugandans or in that case Africans.

At this rate, we are dealing with a person worse off in reasoning like Bokassa since Amin and Tito Okello had a better sense of common sense.

I stay in Wokingham next to Camberley were this famous college Sandhurst Militart Acadamey is situated.

All the people in this area are fully aware that Muhoozi never passed at Sandhurst. It is an open secret here in Wokingham, Camberley and I am sure in London not to mention the entire UK.

It is good my Children are now British because I can see, our country will be ruled by fools for a long time to come.
