Readers opinion: "Kagame regime is a Tutsi show"
Last updated : 24 June 2008, Kampala

Please Radio Katwe, tell the world, that the Kagame regime is simply Tutsi show...

Some of us have given up with politics in Africa! Fist it was a blow from M7 and now it is Kagame of Rwanda. These two men stared their promising "fundamental change"; indeed that would have been the best option. M7 did not live by his word for long. His regime became extremely corrupt, the economy collapsed ( wealth landed into the hands of his boys), it is alleged he committed crimes in Congo, Northern Uganda, Southern Sudan and Rwanda. He promoted sectarianism, waged war against opposition leaders and the press. In general, like the 'dictators' he fought, M7 has very little to show to the world that expected so much from 'the new generation of leaders' Africa had hoped to see in M7.

Is Kagame of Rwanda different? NO!!! People tend to say Rwanda is developing fast. Wait a moment! What is development? Look around Kigali, yes, it is a very clean city. Right. But who does business in Kigali? The poor are not allowed to come to the city. Who then would make the city dirty?

Every booming business is for Kagame. Yes, for Kagame. He has his people that do business for him. Take Musoni James - the minister of Finance and Economic development. RPF forces every worker in Rwanda to pay a certain percentage of his/her salary every month as contribution for the ruling party - umusanzu. All this money goes into Kagame's pockets. Then you say he is a good leader?!

In Rwanda, if you are to do business, you either do it with Kagame ( his boys and family) or you do it for them. Very soon I will give you details of his business in Kigali, the region, USA and Europe. The guy (Kagame) is simply not clean as you present him. We know him. The world must know this guy. Yeah, he has given a lot of money to this Mwenda - a journalist in Uganda to sell him. Yeah, Mwenda is not different from these thieves and criminals in the region. He is only looking for money. It did not work out for him with M7. He now has Kagame - thanks for Kagame's poor formal educational back ground.

Anyway, the fact is that Kagame is not different from M7. The two are very good at creating a positive public image while deep down they are criminals. Kagame is re-instating the "Tutsi only" legacy in Rwanda as M7 is doing the same for a small clique of the Bahima. Look at all the promotions in Rwanda, over 99.90% are Tutsi. What is the percentage of Tutsis in Rwanda? Hardly 20% of the population!! Where are the Hutus and the Twa? No where in Kagame regime. Yes, he has some Hutus in his regime but they are just there for formality. They have no active role in his administration. His manipulative politics must come to an end.

Please Radio Katwe, I was a senior army officer. I managed to escape this killer. If you want, I will give you some details about this criminal Paul Kagame.

Thank you sir for your honest, heated message. For us at Radio Katwe we have what you might call our "biases" about President Kagame, arising from experiences with him during the Luweero bush war, and his short stint in the high positions of the NRA. We have written a lot about this before, so we shall not say much now.

But we open the floor for other readers to express their views and debate the issues you have raised.

Your responses and other contributions will be very helpful.

REACTION CONTRA: "KAGAME REGIME IS A TUTSI SHOW".

Dear editor and all readers of Radio Katwe, just join hands and desist from thinkers who wish to turn Rwanda and Uganda into failed States. Blackmailing Kagame and Museveni may not lead our region any far. Some writers are just tribalistic and are bent to misinforming the world.

Think of this writer in: Readers Opinion on " Kagame Regime is a Tusti Show". This guy is just confusing and has no sense of objectivity neither in vision nor expression. He actually must be among the group that were bent to wipping the Tusti's from the face of the earth and the Good lord could not allow the devil to win!

We all know that the governent in Kigali is of Unity and Reconciliation under the wise leadership of a ceratin Fatuma Ndangiza who may be a Hutu any way. For us in Rwanda, it is nolonger material to classfy citizens into Hutu or Tutsi or Twa. This guy writing nonsense is in class of the Habyarimana's regime which even issued Identity Cards with such inclinations of malice. Kagame's regime wiped that shit out.

The Umusanzu as a contribution is a value in our culture. It is given in form of money or kind. For example, there is a day in a month when all health people must offer a hand in cleaning the environment. Is that bad?? Before the liberation war of 1990, as a student i used to offer some musanzu for the cause of the liberation and I never complained. I had to deduct from my humble pocket money for the common good. Similarly, it has continued beause before we can ask for assistance form outside, we must pull up local resources and have entandikwa. Begging from the BAZUNGU when they abandoned us at a time we needed them most is but a contradiction. We are ready to continue working with Kagame's Government for the development of our country. You may recall that even during the previous elections, the International Community denied us of any help and peple came up with a shrewed will to do it by ourselves, because the fruits of democracy was for our benefit.

The imbalance in promotion is just a sentimental wish because the world knows that these killers begun with the educated of the Rwandan Community. Now should a villager be employed in an office of the 21st. century? Now you can remember the evil you did in killing the cream of the society. Why did you kill them?? In the Army, promotons are given according to perfomance and not accrding to the kazu you are used to, remember. On corruption it is in record that our no-nonsense president does not stomach any thing corrupt. You may envy him for that but we are happy. Where are the Sendashong's, the Jack Bihozagara's the karegeya's. All corrupt leaders must apologise and if they don't they feel the shame and run a way like Judas Iscariot did and ended up taking his own life after betraying his friend and Master. May that writer cross check properly in all public sectors of life and tell us where there is discrimanation which characterized the fallen regime of Habyarimana which he or she seems to prefer. In schools, in Health, etc.. all are given equal chances disregarding ethnicity. If you talk of the 99.90%, kindly give us the percentage before Kagame came to power, and a a time when you were in office yourself. It was a total mess, which we cannot want to remember, bwana.

Advise: Ask the Lord to remove a heart of stone from your life and replace it with a heart of flesh! Then you will be more objective and relevant.

JARIBU.

Hello everyone, I'd like to say something about Kagame and Museveni and this I was told by the late Capt. Simon Kasumba (RIP) who worked under the NRA Directorate of Military Intelligence.

He told me that he was a personal friend of Kagame because Kagame thought he was a Tutsi. He went on telling me that his mother was a Tutsi from Rwanda and his father was a Hutu and he actually told me that his real name was Gashumba (you can investigate more on this but this, he personally told me).

Capt. Kasumba (Gashumba) was telling me how he fell out with Museveni and told me that one of the reasons he fell out was because one day he came he to his office (which was next to Paul Kagame's) and found the door to his office sealed.

He tried to open it but it was sealed and I must admit that personally told me that he found a way of opening it later but what he found inside was a big shock to him. He told me that once inside, he found stacks and boxes of new matchetes in his office.

Yes, thousands of brand new matchetes concealed in his office next to Kagame's office. I guess this was one of the reasons he had to die (he had seen what he wasn't supposed to see)

Fellow Ugandans, Kagame and Museveni are Tutsis and you can imagine that many people still believe that Tutsi were brutally killed yet it seems and it's clear that Museveni and Kagame are the true genocidaires, they are the ones who carried out the genocide and they are the masterminds of this unforgetable event even.

Believe it or not but such brutality and killings was not common as it is now in Uganda until a Tutsi (Museveni) and his bandits entered politics in Uganda. Museveni is killing innocent Ugandans everyday and will continue to do so, these people are natural killers and yes that's the truth.

Dear Mr. Editor,
Lets give benefit of doubt to Mr. Andrew Mujuni Mwenda. I have read a lot about this Man but I want to honestly say that I have not yet made my conclusion. It would be bad to judge him unfairly. Lets search for the truth. I know however smart he is he cannot jump over the deep hole of the truth. Watch him closely. For now, we see him as a principal journalist who doesn't fear death(that is what he says). We shall know and history will judge him right or wrong.

Mr. Ateteni Obibino, Kilak.

My reaction to the comments of JARIBU on "Kagame regime is a Tutsi show"

Mr Jaribu, you are so biased and dictatorship fanatic (even extremist). Are you so blind that you cant see what is going on in your country? You ask others to make a conversion of heart but you should do the same if really you have faith ( I am doubtful about that). I would like to remind you that GOD isn't a one sided God who has discrimination towards human beings.

He loves each of us as his beloved child. You should know that and stand for the respect and equality of all people in their fundamental rights. As long as you dont distance yourself from dirty politics of segregation and lies, don't pretend to be a christian or a believer ! Many Rwandans have no right to speak up what they think or about their situations except those like you who are favored by the regime. But know that everything has its time and end. God alone is eternal. Rwandans will have a time to live together in harmony and enjoy the values of freedom, mutual respect, justice for all and a share of gifts and blessings God has given them.

I want to comment on the article 'kagame regime is a tutsi show' I have read many articles and I know exactly when the writer goes off base! you can not stand on your two legs, with the control of all your faculties and say that there is only one way of doing business in a whole city! Doing it with Kagame or for him. That is ridiculous.

No body will ever believe what he is saying, the man lacks argument. We who are in Rwanda know the truth, there are many hutus in the government as there are Tutsis. You have to bring in more substantial evidence rather that the mambo jumbos.

Our government is one of the best in Africa and nothing you say is gonna change that..! Thanks
