* VENUE: The venue for the 5th Athletics Kampala track & field trial is Kyambogo Cricket Oval on Saturday June 28 2008. Registration begins at 8am and the first event will be at 9am.

* UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: Especially encouraged to attend are University athletes preparing for the 5th All Africa University Games (Makerere, July 6 - 16).

* PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN: Similarly, clubs and schools getting ready for the National Post Primary Athletics Championships (Kapchorwa, July 9 – 12) should turn up in big numbers and take advantage of the competition.

* OLYMPICS: The meeting will also help senior athletes who are still chasing qualification for this year’s Beijing Olympic Games (August 8 – 24).

* PUNCTUALITY: Participants are kindly requested to keep time. This will ensure a punctual start to the meeting and also avoid the longer distance races being run in hot temperatures.
